Description:     Hill International is looking for a Senior MEP Engineer for one of Its Projects in Tangier, Morocco.   The Al Houara Coastal Resort Project is proposed as a new world class resort which shall blend the cultures of Morocco and Europe.  Located on the Atlantic coastline between Tangier and Assilah, it is set within a 230-hectare site on gently sloping hillsides with views over the ocean and access to 2.5 kilometers of beach. The right candidate to work on this mega project will have at least 12 years experience with construction projects. He or she should have a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and strong project site PM background with Design Review experience. DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: ·         Review the Mechanical drawings reports and specifications submitted by the Design Consultant(s) at each stage of the Design to ensure completeness, correctness, compliance with the scope of work and agreement requirements ·         Carry out constructability review during the Design stages ·         Review in a timely manner the Design Consultant(s) submittals and forward comments to the Project Manager ·         Ensure the Design Consultant(s) incorporates the comments raised from previous stages   REQUIREMENTS: ·         Must have a minimum of 12 years experience ·         Experience on major high rise, commercial, hotel or retail developments ·         Experience in design management and construction management             ·         Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering      Hill International is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V

DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·        Ensure timely and accurate design work on sites by coordinating, monitoring and managing design / supervision consultants through the discipline design team; Liaise with client to ensure complete satisfaction on design related aspects of the project on site.

·        Monitor work of Discipline Design Engineers and Design Consultants to ensure design correctness and completeness as well as scope compliance.

·        Coordinate closely with Project Manager and Site engineers to get all site design work reviewed and approved.

 

·         Maintain client liaison throughout the project to ensure client satisfaction with design work progress.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

·         Must have around 15 years experience.

 

·         Solid experience on major developments from a project management company perspective.         

 

·         Graduate in Architecture /Engineering with professional qualification in Project Management (PMP Certification preferred).
